A while back, we caught up with Rick Bayless to chat about the upcoming Chicago Gourmet festival (September 24–26). Now, the fest is less than a month away, and to help drum up excitement, restaurants participating in the “Chicago Gourmet Dine Around” will offer discounted prix fixes ranging from $33–$55, now through September 26. Options include L20, Prairie Fire, The Bristol and others.

But wait, there’s more! Dine at five of those participating restaurants during the period, present your receipts at the Chicago Gourmet registration counter and you’ll get a free one-day pass to the fest. This is one case where we can forgo telling you to save your appetite.
