Usually, a hotel opens up a restaurant that goes on to win awards, but in Longman & Eagle‘s case, the newly Michelin-starred Chicago restaurant wants to open a hotel. But the regional American restaurant will open inn-type lodgings on December 15.
The inn, which resides in the Logan Square ‘hood, will have six hipster-friendly rooms that look straight out of an Ace Hotel. After all, they sit above a casual restaurant/bar with lots of wood and a Wurlitzer jukebox.

There are just two home games left in the season for Cutler and co.–which means two more opportunities to book this deal that will feed you and give you a good night’s sleep before or after the game.

Hotel 71, which sits along the Chicago River in downtown Chicago, will be giving itself a makeover. Why didn’t they just start on the renovations when Transformers 3 tore up the area last summer while filming?
First up in the $15 million project will be a revamped contemporary lobby that’ll be done up in dark browns and grays. New rooms, a brand-spankin’-new restaurant, a redesigned business center and some fitness center equipment will also follow.

Normally when we talk about hoteliers here at HotelChatter, we’re usually geeking out over their new hotel plans (and occasionally gossiping about their choice in love interests).
But here’s one hotelier who creeps us out–Dr. H.H. Holmes, the serial killer who killed 27 people after luring him to his hotel during the World Fair in Chicago in 1893. And that’s just the amount of murders he confessed to. Many people suspect there are way more victims.
Now Leonardo DiCaprio has been cast to play Dr. Holmes in a movie based on …

Schrager told De Lollis that he …
